Sharon Murphy manages the firm's workers compensation practice group.  In addition, she advocates for clients in a variety of insurance defense matters and coverage disputes and she represents individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits. Sharon is a registered mediator and enjoys working with litigants to find mutually advantageous resolutions to seemingly unsolvable disputes.

Sharon has served as Secretary (1989-1992) and as a national Council Member (1992-95) of the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. She chaired the Workers' Compensation Committee of the ABA TIPS Section (2003-2004), and currently serves as the committee's newsletter editor.  She has also chaired the Worker's Compensation Committee of Indiana's Defense Trial Counsel Institute (2002).  She is Financial Officer and a founding Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, and she is a Board Member of the Indiana Workers' Compensation Institute.

Sharon is a frequent lecturer on workers compensation practice and procedure, and has written articles for the Indiana Lawyer and Indiana Worker's Compensation Institute newsletter. She is involved in a number of community activities, and she and her husband have sponsored foreign exchange students from Hungary, Colombia, Brazil, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Germany and China.
