Lewis Wagner is pleased to announce that Candace Bankovich has joined the Firm as Partner and Chair of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Area.

As former General Counsel for several corporations, including small and large privately held and publicly traded companies, Candace brings a unique business perspective to the group and her legal practice. This experience has afforded her the opportunity to know first-hand the demands individuals encounter within an organization and also the client service and practical advice that companies seek.

Candace provides clients with counseling on all employment matters, including hiring, employee discipline and termination, employment policies and practices, reductions in force, plant closures, employee leave, and union avoidance. She also conducts training on employment and management topics and drafts agreements such as non-compete agreements, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, and independent contractor agreements.

In addition to her proactive prevention counseling, Candace defends employers before agencies and both state and federal courts on employment related claims including employment discrimination, wage disputes, wrongful termination, and unfair labor practices. Candace’s diverse experience includes general corporate, traditional labor, employment counseling and litigation.
