INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 27, 2017) – Lewis Wagner is pleased to announce that Edward D. Thomas, Sr. has been elected to the board of governors of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA). He will serve a two-year term, as an At-Large District Representative.

Edward is a senior associate in Lewis Wagner’s business services practice group where he concentrates his practice in complex business, commercial and real estate litigation in state and federal court, including UCC, shareholder, partnership, and LLC disputes, while also representing the Indiana Department of Insurance, Patient’s Compensation Fund, in tort and coverage cases.

Prior to joining the Indiana Bar in 2010, Edward gained valuable legal experience while serving six years active duty as a paralegal with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Bagram, Afghanistan, Edward cleared a database backlog of international damage claims against the U.S. government dating back to 2001. Additionally, he ensured quick accessibility of opinions by interfacing seven years of legal files into an electronic database while deployed with NATO’s Stabilization Force Headquarters, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Edward further expanded his legal knowledge by serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Ayers, Marion County Superior Court Civil Division as well as the Public Defender of Indiana during law school, prior to joining Lewis Wagner as a summer law clerk in 2007.
