Biography

Stefanie handles a wide array of general insurance defense litigation with a primary focus in the areas of health and human services, products liability, construction, and other complex general torts.  Stefanie is not afraid to try a case, and she has proven results in the courtroom.  Stefanie zealously defends her clients, while simultaneously practicing with civility.  Stefanie’s clients appreciate that she balances her creative problem-solving skills with the ability to be practical in her solutions, skills she acquired while obtaining her accounting degree from Butler University.  As a life-long Indiana resident, Stefanie relates well to Indiana jurors.   

Stefanie is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Marion County Bar Association. As chair of Lewis Wagner’s Diversity Committee, Stefanie manages the Firm’s diversity and inclusion programs.

Representative Cases

  • Blackadar v. Stuart, Cause No. 07C01-0406-CT-0273, Brown County Circuit Court, (March of 2008). Served as second chair in an automobile accident. The verdict was for Plaintiff, for a verdict for less than 10% of Plaintiff’s actual damages after trial by jury.
  • May v. Trobaugh, Cause No. 10C01-0402-CT-084, Clark County Circuit Court, (2005). Served as second chair in a bicycle fall accident. We obtained a defense verdict after trial by jury.
  • Hough v. Evans, et al., Cause No. 52C01-0208-CT-483, Miami Circuit Court, (2004). Served as second chair in a chair reaction automobile accident.
  • Shaw v. Payless, Cause No. 48D01-0106-CT-0483, Madison County Superior Court, (2003). Served as second chair in a slip and fall accident.
  • Price v. Moline, Cause No. 49C01-0107-CP-1647, Marion County Superior Court, (2003). Served as second chair in a business dispute.
  • Everett v. Decatur Rental Center, Cause No. 01C01-9905-CT-010,  Adams County Circuit Cort, (2001). Fall from a hydraulic lift.
  • Allard v. Wal-Mart, Cause No. 199CV0420, United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, (2000). Served as the second chair in a slip and fall accident.
