Kimberly Adams is an experienced litigator who has successfully handled numerous jury and bench trials and administrative proceedings. As a member of Lewis Wagner’s complex litigation team, Kimberly helps manage the defense of class actions and mass torts cases and routinely defends professional liability matters for a broad range of professionals, including lawyers and health care providers.
Kimberly has defended hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians and nurse practitioners in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest. Kimberly also provides legal guidance on HIPAA Privacy and Security, risk management and employment matters. Kimberly’s background includes service as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office where she successfully prosecuted major felony offenses in numerous jury and bench trials, former in-house counsel at the corporate level of a health system providing advice regarding general health and health information privacy and security matters and 8 years of experience as a private practice litigator.
For several years, Kimberly has worked with the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Diversity Job Fair Committee to increase firm participation and funding, which has translated to a 20 percent placement rate for interviewing students. Kimberly is a Board Member for Steward Speakers, an organization dedicated to enhancing the community by providing opportunities for young people to engage with America's best leaders and brightest luminaries.
